After the official season opening on home soil two weeks ago, our goal was to decrease our 5 shot deficit to the leading team, Neckartal, in the 2^nd event.  The weather, being a question for concern on everyone’s mind, was luckily limited to a few short bursts of rain with lots of sun shine and so a big thanks to the weather gods for yielding a decent setup for the days Golf.

 

Due to a lack of course knowledge and very fast greens all our players struggled to score on this beautiful parkland course. After adding all the three puts and missed up and downs to the scorecards, our team finished with an overall score of 59 over Par. Unfortunately, only good enough for 3^rd place. Two strokes better was the team from Haghof and significant 31 strokes better were the winners and league leaders from Neckartal - Cleary proving their home advantage.

The new challenge is set! 36 strokes to gain before the seasons end in order to top the league standings. A hefty task for the team but our players are motivated and all believe it can be done.
